Diversity & Inclusion

In My Healing Practice

At Hand to Soul, I believe in the sacred interconnectedness of all people. We are one human family, created from love, and each of us is an expression of that divine love. The earth is our shared home, and we walk this journey together with the plants, animals, and all living beings as our cohabitants.

I honor and celebrate the beauty of diversity. No matter your gender, race, ethnicity, who you choose to love or what pronouns you identify with, you deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and honor. My healing space is one of safety, acceptance, and inclusion—a place where all individuals can receive care without judgment.

I believe that when we open our hearts and truly see one another, we can shift from division to curiosity, from fear to enthusiasm. Every culture, every way of living, thinking, and being has wisdom to share. I cherish the opportunity to learn from different traditions and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual as a reflection of divine love.

As a Latina and first-generation American with roots in Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, and Syria, my own culturally rich background has shaped my deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and experiences. My practice is a welcoming space for all, embracing the depth and richness of our shared humanity.

Here, you are seen. You are valued. You are celebrated.

Statement of Peace

I am living in a world that feels like it is moving backward—away from human connection, away from our innate ability to feel compassion for one another. Too many are suffering under the weight of oppression, while too many others look away. I have been silent in the past, but I realize now that silence can be mistaken for acceptance, and I refuse to be okay with what is happening.

This Diversity & Inclusion page and my Statement of Peace are my way of speaking truth into the world. By sharing this prayer, I hope my voice echoes so loudly that it reaches the hearts of those who oppress and divide. May it break down their walls so they feel the collective pain of separation and injustice. May their sleeping spirits wake up—to empathy, to love, to the responsibility we all have to do good for one another.

I share this not just as a massage therapist, but as a human being who believes in a better world—one where we see each other, honor each other, and choose peace over division.

You are welcome to pray with me. I’d be honored.

A Prayer for the Marginalized and Oppressed

God, Divine Creator, Source of all love and life,
We come before You with hearts open, seeking peace, justice, and protection for all Your children.

God, we lift up our LGBTQ siblings, asking that they be embraced with love and allowed to live freely, without fear of harm or rejection. May their light shine brightly in a world that tries to dim it.

We pray for Latino immigrants seeking safety and opportunity. May they be met with compassion and respect, not cruelty or walls. Let their hard work and resilience be honored.

We ask for protection and justice for African Americans, who continue to face systemic injustice. May their voices be heard, their lives valued, and their dignity restored.

For our Asian brothers and sisters, who have suffered violence and exclusion, we pray for healing and justice. May their cultures be celebrated and their humanity recognized.

We pray for women everywhere, asking that they rise in their full strength, free from fear or oppression. May the world see their wisdom and worth as a reflection of Your divine grace.

And for Indigenous peoples, whose wisdom and traditions have been dismissed, we ask for restoration. May their voices be amplified, their sovereignty respected, and their wounds healed.

God of mercy, awaken our hearts to the suffering of our brothers and sisters. Fill us with the courage to stand against hatred, to speak for the voiceless, to act in love rather than fear. Let us be instruments of Your peace, tearing down barriers and building a world where all are free to live with dignity, love, and purpose.

May we never grow weary in the fight for justice. May we never look away from suffering. May we never forget that we belong to one another.

In love, in hope, in the spirit of unity, we pray.

Amen.
